Fifty-three is quite well versed
in hell,
Impressive in her quiet expertise.
Few know life's atrocities so well,
There having been some pain too thick to freeze,
Years and years too arduous to tell.
This knowledge none can qualify or
quell,
However much one wants one's life to please.
Reason cannot break this evil spell,
Even as we dance among the trees,
Easy in the grace of some sweet breeze. |
