| Welcome Tiger Cubs and Tiger Cub Partners! We have a very exciting Scouting year planned. We meet every Tuesday evening (see the calendar) at 5:50. Opening Flags begin at 6pm sharp. I would like all boys to be in their Class B (t-shirt) uniforms at each meeting, and in the Class A (cub scout uniform) at all Pack meetings. Each week we wil designate a Tiger and a Partner to bring a snack for us to share.That list will be posted here so you can always check beforehand. The first thing that new Tigers must accomplish is getting through the Bobcat Trail. There are eight things for you to do: 1. Learn the Cub Scout Promise 2. Learn the Law of the Pack 3. Tell what WEBELOS means 4. Show the Cub Scout Sign 5. Show the Cub Scout Handshake 6. Say the Cub Scout Motto 7. Show the Cub Scout Salute 8. With your Parent/Guardian, complete the Child Protection Booklet These are easy to accomplish because most of them are repeated week after week at the opening ceremonies, and we will practice with each other every week also. Don't forget you can practice at home with friends and family too. This is just the beginning of a fun filled year...we will be taking field trips called "go sees", we will be meeting with all the other Cub Scouts at the end of each month for our "Pack Meetings" where we will all get any advancement we have achieved and celebrate any holidays that occur that month. In October we go to our own camp called Shanaho for an overnight experience which includes fishing, hiking and crafting. And the big end of the year experience is going to Camp Scouthaven for four days and three nights of jammed packed fun!! Check back often because once we have all of our boys registered and know what we are working with, we will post a schedule just for the tigers. |
