The Story of The 'Deadpool' (WCW) Page 1 of 1 The Deadpool was formed in the begining of 1999. The foursome comprised of Raven, Vampiro , Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent J was merely a deperate way for the WCW to gain viewers. He accompanied Vampiro and the rap group the Insane Clown Posse (ICP) to the ring a few times for their matches, with an ankh painted on his face. Levy looked to be the leader of this new group, 'the Deadpool' - a more intimidating Flock if you like. However, this soon signalled the end of his career in World Championship Wrestling. Raven controls the ICP from ringside and then helps Vampiro beat Eddy Guerrero. A mix of interest, the Deadpool was more aboutappeasement than wrestling, to involve Raven, to give Vampiro a push, and to involve the ICP, The Deadpoolwas a random yet entertaining assortment of the disenchanted locker room problems. At the time behind the scenes Raven was growing increasingly displeased with the WCW. The Deadpool gave him a little push, but he was very unhappy with the future of the group and his role in it. Prior to the August 9th edition of Nitro, Eric Bischoff held a meeting with some of the employees regarding 'locker room attitude', offering contract releases to whomever desired to get out of the company. Reportedly, Levy immediately decided he wanted out and left the meeting there and then to call his agent. No sooner than a week after the 'meeting', Scott Levy had been in touch with a certain promoter, and was on his way back to his 'birthplace'... In a way it worked. But with Raven's growing disatisfication with the company, the group and angle went nowhere. After Raven left the WCW due to a gutsy, and foolish descision via Eric Bishoff, the group fell apart. This left only Vamipro and the ICP. One of there very last matches was the 3-way tag match at September Fall Brawl. Eddy Gurrerro, Billy Kidman, & Rey mYsterio Jr. defeated Deadpool's Vampiro and Insane Clown Posse by pinfall whe Billy Kidman pinned Vampiro via Shooting Star Press off the top turnbuckle. The Deadpool came to an official end towards the end of 1999 when the ICP left WCW. After returning to WCW in July of 2000 Vampiro and the ICP hooked back up, bvut this only lasted a few months as the ICP became very unhappy with the WCW script writers. Although this group didnt last very long at all together to cause any serious damageto anyone who stepped in their way in the WCW they certainly were a very unique group but it just didn't happen for them.
