| Williamson Appointed as New Hibs Manager Bobby Williamson walked out on Kilmarnock yestarday to join Scottish Premier team Hibs after ex-manager Farnk Sauzee was saked after just 69 days. He was approched just days after Frank Sauzee was saked and walked out to join Hibs. Frank Sauzee was appointed as Hibs new manager just after Alex McLeish left for Rangers. The fans had there full support and confidence. But after a poor start, winning none of the 15 games incharge, the Board of Directors had had enough. Kilmarnock, now with no manager approched Celtic's youth coach Tommy Burns. But he snubbed them and is now Berti Vogts number two. |
| British Teams Both Beaten by the Dutch It was a disappointing day for Rangers and Leeds on thursday evening, after both teams were eliminated from the UEFA cup. Both teams had to over come Dutch teams, but niether team could come out a winner. Ranger tied 1-1 last week at Ibrox. But even though it was a tie Rangers kept confident and took the lead in the first half with a Niel McCann strike. Former Celtic striker Pierre van Hooijdonk scored twice before before the half to take the lead that Rangers had started with. One minute after the half Bonaventure Kalou struck to make it 3-1 for the home side. Later Ferguson hit one home from the spot, and Patrick Paauwe was sent off for a reckless challenge on Lovenkrands. Rangers were handed a life line where he was Paauwe dismissed, but 20 minutes later Neil McCann, after a superb preformance, was sent off. The gane ended 3-2. Leeds played well, but a late goal by Jan Vennegood of Heselink sent leads flying out of the Uefa Cup. |

| St.Johnston Doomed For Sure St.Johnston 0 Rangers 2 St.Johnston were shoved into the First Division last night as the were out-played by second place Rangers. Strikes by Flo and Ricksen gave Rangers a 2-0 win and the three points to close the gap to 10 points. |
