The Task Force Saber Organization
Answerable only to the NATO General Staff, Task Force Saber leaders can
recruit new personnel from the military forces or government bureaucracies
of all remaining member nations. Cyber-soldiers are selected for
their special cyber compatibility, spotted through bio-scans. Only
compatible soldiers without families to tie them down are chosen (they
must be orphaned or estranged from their families). TFS arranges
the death of each new recruit on paper, removing evidence of their existence.
The sponsoring nation only knows the recruit by code name and serial number.
Contact with people from the recruit’s old life are frowned upon and must
be kept secret.
TFS organization is divided into three branches: Command, Technical,
and Field. Command is the highest branch, consisting of the senior
officers. Technical is, generally, the non-military branch, consisting
of the scientists, surgeons, and technicians secretly recruited to maintain
and improve the TFS arsenal. Field consists of all combat and mission
personnel, the junior officers who carry out Command orders. In total,
there are less than one hundred personnel who are directly a part of Task
Force Saber. TFS HQ (“the barn”) is a secret underground base attached
to the Pentagon in Washington DC.
