For TFS personnel, the CF Short Coat becomes the CF Uniform Coat (a dark-gray
zip-up jacket); the CF Long Coat becomes the CF Full Uniform (the same
jacket plus matching pants and gloves). The Battle Jacket is a bulkier
version of the CF uniform, complete with internal heating, a matching sealed
head mask, and a breathing filter.
All PL 6 vehicles are available to Task Force Saber personnel. A soldier
may requisition a vehicle so long as his current available funding (or
the combined available funding of his team members) is at least one-half
of the vehicle’s cost. This funding is not actually spent unless the vehicle
is lost or destroyed (although repair costs for a damaged vehicle will
come from the requisitioning soldier’s funding).
Most PL 5 vehicles are still available, but their cost is only half the
listed amount.
Limited space travel does exist by the end of the 21st Century—to
orbital space stations, to the largely automated lunar colonies, and to
an entirely automated Mars base. Space travel is conducted with STG shuttles
and system liners, although even Task Force Saber does not have regular
access to these hugely expensive vehicles.
