Troop 62

        Troop 62 is sponsored by the Sacandaga School PTA and is an active member of the Twin Rivers Council. Our troop meets every Thursday, 7:30 p.m. at the school during the school year. On the second Thursday of each month we meet at Baptist Retirement Center at 7 p.m. as part of our continuing community service project. Our activities schedule is listed below.
       Our troop strives to live by the Scout Oath and Law. Activities include hiking, camping, canoe trips, ice fishing, skiing, education programs, and participation in Twin River Camporees. Our community service projects include volunteering at the Baptist Retirement Center, the Scouting for Food projects, Scotia's Holiday on the Avenue and the Memorial Day parade. In addition many of our Eagle Scout projects have directly benefited the community.

Other Events

Popcorn- Popcorn pickup at the Kaufman's 5764 Amsterdam Road, 368-3140.  Please pickup popcorn after 12 noon on Saturday 11/17.

Adult Troop Committee Meeting- Meets 1st Tuesday of every month, 7:30pm at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church of Scotia.

Roundtable Meeting (Adult Leaders)- Meets 2nd Wednesday of every month, 7:30pm at Emmanuel Friedens Church, 218 Nott Terrace, Sch'dy.

Patrol Leaders Council Meeting- Meets 1st Thursday of every month at 7pm, prior to the regularly scheduled troop meeting.
