Scorch's Cave!
Well, it's actually Dakshi's cave, but that's not the point...

So, you've ventured into Scorch's cave, have you? You'd better hope you're either inedible or Scorch isn't hungry...

Scorch is the first character I created, and he has come a long way since the application. He was originally created as a Charmander, but he has since evolved twice, becoming a mighty Charizard, my favourite kind of pokemon ever!

Following the advice of Streetwind, I have chosen a theme for him. All Star by Smash Mouth. I chose this because it contains all the ideals of Scorch himself. "Only shootin' stars break the mold!" Find the lyrics here.

Scorch is an idealist. He likes to see the good in everything, and that can sometimes get him into trouble, especially when his trust is misplaced. He may seem slightly dumb at times, but he is still relearning everything he has forgotten. Still, once he sets his sights on something, he doesn't hold back from achieving his goal, his devotion driving him onwards. Nothing can stop him from doing what he wants to do.
Scorch's application: It isn't fancy, but it got me onto the MUSH, something I am extremely glad about. If I had the chance to redo it, I would be able to do so much better, I am sure. This application suffered from the same problem as my early roleplay experiences, incorrect tense use. I tended to randomly switch between past and present tense, something I am proud to say I no longer do. Still, here it is in its original form.

Scorch's logs: Unfortunately, there is quite a bit of backstory that I didn't log. Soon after arriving on the mainland, the Charmander befriended a young girl by the name of Rhia Catterly. A few weeks later, a chance meeting during a heavy rainstorm gave Rhia an opportunity to take Scorch into her care, which both Rhia and Scorch agreed to. The Charmander was happy during this time, and he got to see many new people and places which he couldn't have done while wild. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and Rhia disappeared, causing her character to get deleted and giving Scorch an automatic release. Of course, I had to invent an IC reason for Rhia to release Scorch, but I left it intentionally vague, as I don't like controlling other people's characters, even when they are gone for good. The story I gave was that she released him, saying she didn't have time for training anymore and that she wouldn't be around here for much longer. This understandably confused and bewildered Scorch, who got on so well with his trainer. This is where the logs begin...

Fiction: My current project. Scorch's story continues despite the lack of activity on the MUSH. Only one story so far, but more on the way! Check back for updates!
