Journeyman Press™ gave out these Pre-Release Demo Decks
to those who received a Scooby-Doo ECG demo in the year 2000.
They were given at Game Conventions including: Origins 2000, GenCon 2000,
etc. The cards in the demo decks have several differences from the end product.
First they have the wording "For Demo Purposes Only" written across their back.
They have a white border instead of the black borber. Something that I noticed while
scanning is that when held up to a light you can see the image from the other side,
this is NOT possible with the end product. The
event cards have a gold treasure chest instead of a black treasure chest. The
location cards have a gold key instead of a black key
and a dark swirl background instead of a aqua swirl background. Also
some of the cards have different wording of their text.
