Assessment and testing as needed. Testing is a different procedure,
and differently priced, than is regular, 1-to-1, daily tutoring.
The Learning Center can provide standardized testing
and assessment for you, and your children.
In reading: The Woodcock Johnson Reading Mastery Test
takes approximately 1.5 hours to administer, and costs $75-100,
which includes a one page report of results, including next steps to consider
based on the test findings. An hour's conference for reporting and planning is included.
Ages 5 up to adult.
In mathematics (arithmetic): The Key Math Test
assesses understanding and performance in ten to a dozen areas of numerical thinking.
It takes about 2 hours to administer, and costs $75-100.
You receive a one page written report at an hour-long conference communicating the testing results,
and considering the next steps to take.
Ages 5 up to adult.
A more extensive and expensive psychoeducational battery is provided by the WJPEB,
which can take up to 6 hours in two sessions to administer.
Cost is $750-1250. The WJPEB is a collection of interrelated tests
that compare and contrast ability and achievement in four main subject areas:
