The DS811 is an excellent choice for sport servo applications, such as the new crop of .40- to .60-size pattern airplanes or .30-size CCPM trainer helis like the Venture 30CP. Matching it with a 4.8V battery pack yields an impressive 54 ounce inch of torque-nearly 34% more than the leading non-digital sport servo. With a 6.0V pack, torque numbers run as high as 66 ounce inch.

Transit speeds are impressive too. With a 4.8V pack, the DS811 executes a 60-degree sweep in a brisk .18 seconds. Using a 6.0V pack speeds up the same 60-degree sweep to .15 seconds. Compared to a typical transit speed of .25 seconds/60-degrees for non-digital sports, this is lightning quick!
