you better believe we are

you think you know, but you have no idea

well on sunday the 11th we played a show at the buffalo roadhouse. the show went from 3-8:30 and was mostly punk bands. bet they loved us, huh? well we had to open the thing so we got up and played like 6 songs (break free, mexico, live away, all along the watchtower, the freshman, and um, i forget). we played awesome and tyler's gf sang for us on freshman so that was cool. she did way good. alex reich was our substitute bassist and he played good too.

at the practices leading up to this some fun stuff happened. we practiced for the most part in my attic. but apparently having that much sound that high up made it like we were a catholic bell tower but instead of chimes, the people heard goony goo hoo. well it turns out this old lady didn't appreciate that very much and she called the cops on us. 2x! how bout that huh? it was fun to see all the other neighbors come out and yell at the officer for "stopping the concert" as one old man put it. "you people wouldnt know rythym if it bit you on the ass! it's alright that some guy can drive past at midnight playing his radio at 11 but they cant play good music?"-one old man's opinion as expressed to the 2nd police lady that came to my house.

we're looking at some recording studio's too to make a demo. we're thinking that we're gonna record 3 songs for this first trip. very possibly these 3 songs will be "live away", "goony goo hoo", and "silence". so that's cool. this band kicks ass. keep on the lookout for more shows. -Nick (august 14th 2001)
