Chad's Summary: After an off-world mission where Col. O'Neill is injured, SG-1 along with Jonas Quinn go to Area 51 to inspect the new X-302 fighter. Col. Chekhov requests that a Russian officer be assigned to SG-1. Col. O'Neill does not like the prospect of having a Russian officer on SG-1. Quinn wishes to join SG-1 and convinces Teal'c to speak with O'Neill. Bra'tac arrives with news that Drey'auc is ill. After Teal'c and Bra'tac leave the base, the Stargate opens with seemingly nothing coming forth. The gate remains active. Ry'ac informs Teal'c and Bra'tac that Drey'auc has passed away. Meanwhile, the SGC investigate the current problem at hand. Ry'ac fights his father to avenge his mothers' death, however, Teal'c does not fight back. The fight is stopped by Bra'tac who talks to Teal'c about his son. Carter discovers that the gate is being exposed to a small amount of energy that could cause a catastrophe. The Jaffa funeral rite involves burning the body on a funeral pyre. Teal'c tells Ry'ac of the events of Enemies and  Threshold to help Ry'ac realize he is not weak. Dr. Rodney McKay arrives at the SGC to help. Carter and O'Neill use the X-302 in a plan to contact the Asgard. Teal'c, Bra'tac, and Ry'ac receive news that Earth is under attack by the Goa'uld Anubis. Quinn warns that the plan to contact the Asgard will not succeed, because of the instability of the Naquadria. Bra'tac finds the origin of Anubis' attack using the Stargate to determine the needed location in order to stop the attack on Earth. As Quinn predicted, the mission to seek help from the Asgard fails. Anubis projects a hologram of himself, in the SGC gate room, to deliver an ominous warning.
