Chad's Summary: SG-1 gate to yet another Asgard protected planet named K'tau. Soon after their arrival, the planet's sun turns an ominous shade of red. Malchus (John Prosky), a local man believes that the new visitors (SG-1) are the cause of the planet's plight. Carter realizes that SG-1 are indeed the cause of the problem. O'Neill, Jackson, and Carter seek help from the Asgard. The Asgard can not assist SG-1 in the matter. Thusly, SG-1 must find a solution, to the problem, on their own. The Asgard would violate their treaty with the Goa'uld if they assisted SG-1. Such a violation would place Earth in danger of Goa'uld attack. The K'tau people's plight is a direct result of the team gating thru the sun of K'tau to arrive on the planet. The team's first attempt to help the people of K'tau is sabotaged by Malchus -- the overzealous villager. Their plan entailed a missile with an element called Maclarian launched into the K'tau sun. With the death of two SG-6 team members, O'Neill, wants to leave the planet. His team convinces O'Neill otherwise. The SG-6 team members died as a direct result of Malchus' sabotage. Jackson and Carter seek other options for the K'tau people. O'Neill informs the K'tau people about the Asgard. They do not believe him. Carter suggests the Maclarian be sent to the K'tau sun through the Stargate. General Hammond authorizes the mission. With a little covert Asgard assistance, the plan is a success.
