Chad's Summary: O'Neill is transported to Thor's ship, in orbit of Earth, during Carter's promotion ceremony. He is told that the Goa'uld are planning an assault, on Earth, a hundred times more powerful than before. The Goa'uld want to take revenge on SG-1 for killing Hathor. The Asgard have a solution to the problem. They want to add Earth into The Protected Planets Treaty--a treaty between the Asgard and the Goa'uld. The Asgard choose O'Neill to represent Earth in the treaty negotiations. The Goa'ulds Chronus (Ron Halder), Yu (Vince Crestejo) and Nurti (Jacqueline Samuda) will represent Goa'uld interests. The treaty negotiations will take place at the SGC. In order to prepare for negotiations, the SGC must get rid of all weapons on base. The Goa'ulds arrive, and they are dissatisfied with their accommodations. They also find the base's security measures distasteful. Teal'c tells Daniel that Chronus killed his father. During the summit, O'Neill insults the Goa'uld, by speaking out of turn, and they leave the room. Thor tells O'Neill and Jackson about the Asgard war against another alien force. He also tells them that the Asgard have been bluffing the Goa'uld. After Daniel types an apology letter, the summit resumes. The Goa'uld accept Earth as a protected planet, however, the price is high--both Stargates. The president decides to accept the terms of the treaty. Chronus and Teal'c are injured, and Teal'c is the prime suspect. Daniel tells SG-1, General Hammond and Dr. Fraiser about Teal'c's  father. Nurti attempts to heal Chronus, but she can not. However, Carter heals him after Teal'c wakes up. The SGC do not allow Yu and Nurti to leave the base. Teal'c tells them that he and Chronus were attacked by an invisible force. O'Neill decides to bluff the Goa'uld into letting them keep the Stargates. As a result of his bluff, Nurti is exposed as the attacker of Teal'c and Chronus. She can become invisible like Hathor. Chronus issues a warning to the SGC. Nurti is taken back through the Stargate in disgrace.
