Chad's Summary: SG-1 is on the recently colonized new Encaren home world for a one month celebration of the colonization. A young Encaren named Caleb (Rob Court) has a deadly warning for the gathered masses. Along with some Encarens, SG-1 observe a huge space ship burning the surface of the planet. Later, Carter determines that the ship is replacing the Encaren and native wild life on the planet [P5S-381] with an alien microbe which will grow into a whole new civilization. The Encarens do not want to leave their new home even though the decision could mean certain death. SG-1 is beamed up to the ship where they encounter Lotan (Brian Markinson) -- a biomechanical representation of an Encaren. The aliens for which the planet is being changed are called the Gadmiere. SG-1 make efforts to convince Lotan to stop the transformation to no avail. O'Neill wants to launch a military strike, but General Hammond denies his request. Back on the planet, O'Neill orders Carter to build a Naquadah bomb over Jackson's strong objections. Jackson is beamed back up to the ship where he talks to Lotan about alternate solutions to the problem at hand. Jackson convinces Lotan to explore the planet. After meeting the Encarens, Jackson and Lotan go back to the ship with a five minute window of time before the Naquadah bomb goes off. In order to find the proper planet to transform, the ship searched through millions of planets. One of these planets was the original Encaren home world. Lotan beams the bomb on board the ship, then he transports the bomb into the sky above the ship where it explodes harmlessly. The Encarens accept a compromise in which the Encarens return to their original home world with Lotan. After reaching the Encaren home world, the ship will return to planet P5S-381 to finish the transformation operation.
