Why, dear God Why?!
This site was created for the sole purpose of satisfying my need to spew forth my opinion on matters that concern me, as well as interest me. I have an undying love for movies of every variety, and invest much of my time to the viewing, analyzing, and critique of these movies. I also have a passion for artwork and the written word. I will use this page as a tool to display my thoughts on various film subjects, and to post information and media on work of my own. It is my goal to not only create a web-presence for my viewpoints and work, but to introduce others to the wonderful materials in which I place my passion. I hope that the viewers of this page are able to fully utilize the content of this page, and therefore I have created this guide to the page itself, to explain how you may use this site in the most effective manner, and explain the various sections of content contained on this web-page.
The News Page
The news and updates page is an integral part of the web-site. It serves as the index for all other information on the page, and can be used to see when additions or revisions have been made to the site. The page also has a link to the �Feature of the Month�, which means I believe that if you were to read one article from the page in that current month, that is the one I recommend. The news page will serve for more than an update center however, as news about films or other information I believe will be of interest will be posted there. If you are interested in a certain article, be sure to check for links to the source of the news so that you may investigate the subject more thoroughly.
Why Feature a Web-Log?
As stated earlier, the main purpose behind this site is for yours truly to let my most humble opinion known. The best way to do that is through the use of a Web Journal, also known as a �Blog�. It will enable me to let the reader in on the events of my day, and give a more personal look into my opinions on film and other forms of media. Blogs allow the writer to use a unique first person style that enables them to not only give the information they want to give to the reader, but let the reader get to know the person that they are reading all this fact and opinion from. I intend to use my Blog as a way of sharing information that I come across, or ideas that I encounter throughout my day. The best way to utilize this service is to check back daily, and keep up on the posts so that you will have background on previous information. If you missed out on posts made in the past, it is easy to look up and view these posts. Simply go to the �Archive� sidebar to the right of the current posts, and select the time frame in which you want to view posts from.
The Movie Reviewing System
This site features a movie review section, as the page content focuses mainly on movies. I use a relatively conventional system for reviewing the movies. I use a grade scale on the quality of the movies, this scale is measure in �Shakes� (you know, milk and ice cream), with one shake being the lowest grade, and five shakes being the highest grade. I will give a short (1-2 paragraph) explanation about the film, as well as a list of the pro�s and con�s of the particular film. If you want to look further into that particular title, I will supply a link to the IMDB (Internet Film Database) page on that title. Through that page you can view a more detailed summary of the movie and hear what other viewers had to say about the movie.
