History of the Schuyler Fire Stations
1949: The first firehouse was at the old wooden highway garage on Windfall Rd.
1953: A new firehouse was built on Newport Rd. Called station #1
1956: A second firehouse was built on State Rte 5. Called station # 2.
1984: Station #1 was remodeled - 4 bays, TV room, Restrooms and Hall.  Work was completed by the Navy Seabees at a cost of $9,050.20.
1997: A new firehouse was built at Station #2.

Fire Protection established                             for the Town of Schuyler in May 1953
1953: Fire Protection cost was $ 1,438.64
1989: Fire Protection cost was $ 60,000.00
1999: Fire Protection cost was $ 64,000.00
2009: Fire Protection cost was $ 150,000.00
