| I was born December 6, 1959 in Willimantic, Connecticut. At the age of 7, my parents divorced and my mother moved back to Oklahoma with me and my sister. I grew up in Oklahoma, but I never stopped loving the Northeast. I graduated from Madill High School in 1977. I met my husband that summer and we married in April, 1978. We were married for 8 1/2 years and had 2 boys. In 1987, Terry and I divorced. |

| I moved to Connecticut in August, 1989 with my sons, Kevin and Kurtis. We lived there until June, 1996, when we moved back to Oklahoma with Terry. Terry and I remarried on February 14, 1997. March 27, 1997, our oldest son, Kevin, committed suicide. One thing our pastor said to us when he came over that day was...."do not let this tear you two apart." I have seen and heard of so many marriages that have been destroyed from tragedies and I was determined not to let that happen to us, and Terry felt the same way. If anything, this tragedy brought us closer together. Terry is the best thing that has ever happened to me, and I love him with all of my heart! We love to travel and take vacations in March and November. Every summer my dad and I visit. He comes to visit me one year and I go to Connecticut to visit him the next. My favorite things in Connecticut (besides my dad) are steamed clams and other seafood, grinders (these look like submarine sandwiches, but have a unique taste all their own), going to the beach and laying in the sun. My all time favorite thing about Connecticut is the snow in the winter - but of course, I don't get to enjoy that anymore. The first week of October is a beautiful time of year in the Northeast. If you ever want to see some beautiful foliage - you might take a vacation up there around that time. Just be warned - make your travel plans well in advance....it's very hard to find a hotel in Vermont and New Hampshire around the first of October because everyone is touring the countryside up there at that time. Now that Kurtis has married and moved to Illinois to start his own life, our 5 dogs, Peanut, Peaches, Spud, Shortcakes, and Punkin are our only "children" living at home now. I enjoy camping, fishing, and boating with my husband (we have a small 2 person fishing boat). I also enjoy reading and cross-stitching. I like to write, but don't have much time to do it like I really want to, but I would like to write a book sometime, maybe when I retire (which is only a mere 11 years away!) I always look forward to September and the beginning of football season. My favorite team is the Dallas Cowboys (I have faith they will build their team up to a winning team once again!), and I also like the New England Patriots. I don't care for college football at all, and the only basketball I care to watch are the UCONN Huskies girls. I used to work for UCONN when I lived in Connecticut and they were a winning team even then. I enjoy playing games on the computer and I also have a lot of music downloaded that I listen to (alot of it is music from the 70's - which some people consider "classics"). The links below are some of the game sites I visit frequently. |
