Eva Katherine MARTIN

Eva Katherine Martin (1821-1895) was the daughter of Franz and Appolonia Martin, born in 1821 in Germany. Both parents are listed as deceased when Eva boarded the ship "Triton" to emigrate to Australia in 1852.  Eva was 31 years of age. Wilhelm Schubert was also a passenger.  She had son George on board ship to Wilhelm Schubert.  Their marriage is not listed in Germany. 

Some of their children were: George (1853-1934) married Catherine Wolff; and Elizabeth Hadley; Joseph (1856-1909) married to Lucy Hadley; Catherine (1858-?) married George Forster; Mary (1860-?) married William McCay 1873; William(1862-1936 married Catherine Cluss; Johanna (1865-1934) married Michael Meehan, George Wylie and Louis Cluss.

After Wilhelm’s death in 1886 Eva married Gabriel Ritzler in 1887.

Eva died 23 February 1895 of stomach cancer and is buried at Dawson Cemetery Taree.
