Onward we are going, leaving far behind memories so happy, memories so fine.
We see a class in seventh grade bewildered and forlorn
As we take our place in school looked down upon with scorn.
Moving onward up the steps penetrating deeper in McKinley's depths.
The girls their cooking, the boys had shop
The faithful janitors more floors to mop.
Lots of laughts and lots of fun but soon the eighth grade year was done.
Then came the glorious freshman year
It seemed that friends were extra dear.
Tenth grade found us on fourth floor
We now are a part of a school once more.
We envied the seniors with respectful awe
As we saw them walk through the McKinley hall.
Our junior year came awfully fast; already we thought of days gone past.
Of parties and games we are now a part
Our senior year we soon must start.
Onward we are going out to meet mankind to learn by experience just what's to be combined.
Goodby Juniors, soon you'll take our place as we go to see the world, to make a better place.
We've left our marks on books and desks of this we are ashamed.
But we'll make up for wrong we've done in happiness and fame.
Goodby to the librarion, whom we've given a rough time,
Goodby to the English teachers, without them we'd have no rhyme.
Goodby to our gym teacher who made us big and strong,
Goodby to all the rest, without them we couldn't get along.
Onward we going, leaving far behind memories so happy, memories so fine.
