| So far, Pauli doesn't really have class on Mondays, but later on he may have some group project meetings. Therefore, on this day we mainly ran some errands and relaxed - nothing too exciting. | ||||||||||||||||||

| Today is Pauli's first day of school. It was kind of nice to be alone for awhile. When I got up I went for a run to come a little more familiar with the area that I live in. We live in a very convenient location, with two decent grocery stores less than a block away, several bus stops nearby, and only a few minutes by bus from a train stop. I also took my first trip to downtown Helsinki by myself, and shockingly, I didn't get lost. I met Pauli, Taina, Esko, Antti, and their friend Juha near a traditional meeting spot downtown, and we walked to Juha's apartment. We spent the afternoon and evening laughing and talking, with only one big debate - the Finns think that Santa Claus is from Finland, not from the North Pole. They claim that any letter written to Santa from around the world will end up in Finland...I of course disagree, but it's hard when it's 5 against 1. |
