Bruce Campbell comes back to main character status in the HALF HOUR long series Jack of All Trades, one of the two shows to replace Hercules. In it, he stars as Jack Stiles, a secret Agent, sent By Thomas Jefferson to stop Napoleon's advance in the West Indies. He is assisted by an English counterpart, a boxomy blond who is an expert with chemicals and "futuristic mechanics"...well for that time.
THE EPISODES:
Episode 1:RETURN OF THE DRAGOON: Jack arrives and meets his counter part, Emilia, the English chick. He dons the outfit of a local legend, The Daring Dragoon, in order to thwart the French undercover. It was tailor made for the man...well since he is exec-producer I guess so!
Episode 2: A French diplomat has an important document that could spell doom for the colonies, so Emilia needs to go literally undercover, but she doesn't have the first clue how to do it. She she asks for Jack's help to learn the art of seduction.
EPISODE 3: Blackbeard kidnaps Benjamin Franklin and it's up to Jack and Emilia to save him in a fish shaped submarine, propelled by Jack to his dismay. But as the get Ben out and escape, the pressure drops and the current of electricity is broken, Jack, as stupid as he is completes the curcuit to shocking results!
EPISODE 4:WHEN YOU'VE HAD JACK.... :Jack meets up with his old partner who is still infatuated with her, to Emilia's dismay. She wants to marry Jack, when he turns down her proposal, she threatens to reveal he's the Dragoon! She helps the two stop the French's latest scheme anyway.
Episode 5:RAGING BULLY:Napoleon(He's Mini-Me!!!!) comes to Palow Palow to presumably negotiate in giving the US the Louisania Purchase. Nope, a trap to capture the Secretary of State, James Madison. Jack saves Madison, but to save his own neck, challenges Nappy, in CLASSIC Bruce Campbell style, to a game of poker for the deed to Louisians. Jack wins and sends Madison back to the colonies with the deed.
Episode 5: DADDY DEAREST: Amilia's dad comes to Palow Palow, but he seems a little worse for wear. His better days behind him and needing Jack to bail him out, Jack tries to convince him he's not an old fuddy duddy.
Episode 6: A Wedding and A Funeral: Napoleon is back and he wants Emilia as his bride. It's either she marries him or bye bye England. Croque and Jack try to convince Nappy otherwise as Jack dons drag as Emilia's mother to stop it. Jack tries to use two of the best local strippers as an distraction to no avail. It ends as the Dragoon interferes and Nappy's wife Josephine shows up.
