Sailing on Majic
Note: This page is best viewed with Internet Explorer.
From April 26, 2000 to August 11, 2000, Santos and Susan sailed from Cordova, Alaska to Coos Bay, Oregon on s/v Majic, a 30-foot J boat.  It was a wonderful adventure, crossing the Gulf of Alaska and on down the Inside Passage, across Juan de Fuca, and finally down to Oregon.  Here are a few photos.  Enjoy!
Newcastle Park Harbor is a popular stop-over.  With Nanaimo just across, it is worth a longish visit! Above, sailboats are getting ready for a race.
Verney Falls in Lowe's Inlet (Grenville Channel) is a must-see.  The inlet is a lovely, protected anchorage.
"Squirly" waters, steep waves, calm seas, ripples on the ocean, the little boat just floated through them all... Pictured above is a very choppy Campbell River.
