The choir is
one of SCC’s long standing ministries. This ministry team meets once
a week on Wednesday evenings for practice. The choir, along with a
song leader, leads music on Sunday mornings. The choir also
participates in a number of annual and outside functions. Easter and
Christmas cantatas are two of this ministry’s biggest projects. They
also travel to revivals and are occasionally invited to sing at other
Churches or events.
special music
This is a Sunday morning ministry open
to those who desire to praise God with the gift of music. Special
music is open to everyone. Probably once or twice a month, the choir
does a special music. If you want to partake in this ministry, see
the choir director, Mrs. Detta Wilson.

5th
sunday sing
The 5th Sunday sing is a
ministry coordinated by the Independent Christian Churches in Scott
County. Whenever there is a 5th Sunday in a month, the
Churches come together for a time of singing and eating. The Churches
take turns hosting the event and this allows for a great time of
fellowship and familiarity between congregations. Our next event will
be on the 5th Sunday in October at Porter Christian Church.
