The goal of this project is not just the restoration of a helicopter. When this aircraft goes on display we will have an educational program to go with it. We need people and stories to bring this history to life. |

The Quonset Air Museum has a U.S. ARMY CH-21C helicopter. It is in Very Very Bad condition. Before it came to the museum the cockpit was destroyed in a collision with a Backhoe. Vandels destroyed the interior, blasted it with shotguns and cut it with a K12 saw. Even after it came to the museum, it's condition kept it one step away from the scrap pile.
Project 892 is the last
chance to save this helicopter. |
