Project
892
The goal of this project is not just the restoration of a helicopter.  When this aircraft goes on display we will have an educational program to go with it.  We need people and stories to bring this history to life.

They Went To War And Did Their Best
Most came home but they all were changed forever.  Many died, and some we still don't know what happened to them.
As You Enjoy Your Freedom think of them often and well, especially those who endured a living HELL as POWs.
CONSERVE, RESTORE, PRESERVE & EDUCATE
The Attack Of 09/11/01 Makes Clear That We All Must HONOR ALL THOSE WHO CONTINUE TO SERVE

The Quonset Air Museum has a U.S. ARMY CH-21C  helicopter.  It is in Very Very Bad condition.  Before it came to the museum the cockpit was destroyed in a collision with a Backhoe.  Vandels destroyed the interior, blasted it with shotguns and cut it with a K12 saw.  Even after it came to the museum, it's condition kept it one step away from the scrap pile.
Project 892 is the last
chance to save this helicopter.
