Back home for Fathers day. Got in just in time for dinner, and that was after leaving an hour later than I planned. I had no idea how much of a difference driving 5-10 mph faster than normal could make. I shaved off a good 30 minutes. Glad to be out of Ithaca, too, because it's done nothing but rain all week, except that one day when it was painfully hot and humid. Sure, it's permanently hot and humid here over summer, but at least we have A/C!

My last few days in Ithaca were pretty fun despite the rain. Had some always awesome Wegmans pasta. Hit up Moonshadows a couple times, and ran into a favorite few while there. Got to see the always wonderful and very funny Ian and Alex over sushi and then later at the bar where we met up with Phil and Laura. That happened to be the same night that Angela came up, so it was an extra good time. She and I played a mean game of darts... Well, we tried to at least. (Ugly Butt was a no show, though. Boo hoo.) Then the next day my next door neighbor had a big ole bbq. Free food is always a wonderful thing. The company was pretty amusing too... a bunch of drunken guys who weren't bad looking. We all hit up the Haunt later that night, and I got to spend my last night in NY (this month at least) shaking my groove thang up on stage. We all know how much I LOVE that! Getting free drinks was an added bonus. Even though the boy I actually did want to see one more time didn't show, the night ended a few hours later on a very good note. For me, at least. Thanks to a certain Dawson's Creeker look alike for that.

A bizarre thing these past few days, though, is how many boys I saw that have played a small or enormous role in my recent life, all in one afternoon. I saw the O-Town look alike just walking by. He invades my mind even when I don't want him to. It would be easier to talk myself out of thinking about him if he were a jerk or stupid or gay... but I think I may need a 12 step program. Haha. He wasn't close enough to talk to, though. Oh well, it's likely the last time I'll see him again. And then there was Shifty Eyed Boy, who is ever so adoreable in that coniving kind of ferrety way. Don't ask. It's just a thing... I happened to see on his birthday, though I didn't know it. I'd have given him a gift he wouldn't forget... mwa ha ha I'm kidding. On a more sour note, I also saw the Texan (look! no expletives attached to that today!) as I was driving up to Collegetown... that was bizarre. I haven't seen, er, made eye contact with that guy since the last time he showed up at my doorstep junior year (for good reason). And I happen to look at a passing car and he's looking right at me. It was unnerving, really, but I suppose I couldn't avoid him forever. At least no words were exchanged... it would have turned ugly if he didn't immediately apologize to me for everything that happened last year. But at least I had a nice dinner with my dear MC - a wonderful specimen of a good human being. He who I crushed on for a good long time, but we turned out to be good friends. That was a nice balance to a weird few hours.

And now here I am. I don't think I'll be in town more than a few days, but I am here and I will be able to hang out with Angela and get to see Lauren and little Jay. He's got his 2nd tooth already! Sometime in between I'm going to need to unload my car and reorganize my room, now that everything's back here.

On an entirely more random note:
This is the website of the day. It tells you what your sleeping position says about you.  Not entirely sure how I found the site, but it makes me smile. Though I don't sleep like this, I get a kick out of the one called "The Willies."
