| 11 June 2002 2:36 am Tuesday I had a surprisingly nice weekend. The roommates weren't around. Evan came up to visit, and we had good times. It was a gorgeous weekend so we spend lots of time lounging on my balcony, and Laura stopped by to join us. Then she was kind enough to have us all over for dinner (with Phil too!) and to hang out, and then we hit the Haunt. I was shocked to see that it was actally full. Then again, most of the people there were either over 30 or under 20... But the music was just as fun (though I never knew that Kylie Minogue's "Can't get you out of my head" is considered 80s music! hehe) so I had a thoroughly fun time shaking my groove thang. My roomie and I finally had our Denise Dies Marathon! We rented Wild Things, Valentine, and Drop Dead Gorgeous... all three feature our favorite HORRIBLE actress Denise Richards being murdered. Each death was so great to watch it should be a sin. It was oh so good. It was gratifying and made our day. All three movies were pretty bad, especially WIld Things, which made watching the movies even more fun. Lots to laugh about. How did Wild Things get made! I mean sure, you get to see a threesome, and I suppose that was reason enough to be made, but really it was such a horrible script. Anyways, Laura and I had tons to make fun of at Denise Richards' complete inability to act. We couldn't tell the difference if she was angry or scared or trying to seduce a guy. Aah to see her scream and in pain... *wipes a tear of joy away* Another wondreful thing about being in Ithaca: free gym. There's something very fulfilling about sweating up a storm, feeling my muscles get more firm, and coming home and having a strawberry popcicle while watching Trading Spaces or cartoons. I stopped working out for nearly 3 weeks, probably more, so I'm a weakling now, but I'm getting back on it. Yay me. Now to find a good gym back home. Tonight I've been helping Angela with her media plan for some product she has to sell for one of her classes. I was getting a major charge out of coming up with the best ways to go about selling the thing to different audiences. I like playing with the angles and organizing how it should happen. I'm pretty sure this is the path I want to end up on... particularly for the entertainment industry. I just need to get some business classes under my belt so I know what I'm talking about when I go to grad school for this stuff. Wow, this may actually be the beginning of an actual life plan! Woo hoo! Hehe. The song of the night is: You Sexy Thing by Hot Chocolate. It's chipper and sweet. That's the mood I'm in right now, thankfully. |
