I am totally smitten by Avril Lavigne's "I'm With You." I can't seem to get enough of it lately. No, I'm not crazy. You know, I actually really like her stuff, which is why her cd is on my
wishlist.

I was at the
gym earlier and realized that I really do enjoy watching basketball, even if it's not an NBA game. I was at the machines in front of our basketball courts watching the guys play a full court game, and was thoroughly enjoying it. It's not that there were hot guys playing or anything, I just think it's an exciting sport. Fast paced - blink and you could miss something. Plus there's something about the form of a basketball player that I find really appealing. It's kinda like my thing for runners... good form and they're automatically more attractive. I'm weird like that. Lol.

Sometimes my
gym reminds me of a cult. Gym culture, rather. It's a bunch of people committed to going to this one particular place (ideally) several times a week to sweat and be merry. Eventually you start noticing that it's always the same people doing the same things at around the same times. After a while, you may even develop a "relationship" with some trainers and/or employees (or in my case, crushes) and they chat with you and make sure everything is working out the way you like. Checking up on you, in a way. And then, Lifetime is cool enough to have a cafe, spa, and salon on the premises, also, so gym members can also eat, relax, and get made up there. It's its own little community, rooted entirely in working out and getting healthy. Oh, and to make sure that you're truly working towards your goals, you can even have a trainer give you tests (cardio, flexibility, strength, body fat) every 2 months. Constant reinforcement. And it becomes routine, brainwashed into your system so you feel bad about skipping a day or two. Must sweat. Must work harder. Must get healthy. Awww yeah.

14 days until The Two Towers comes out.
21 days until Christmas.
26 days until my birthday!
