| 8 November 2002 11:15 am Friday I'm currently addicted to Will Smith's very hot "1,000 Kisses", which features his wife. Jada gets one verse... doesn't rap, or really sing... but she has a really smooth voice that sounds perfect in the song. It has this great beat, yet manages to be laid back. And there's this one verse where Will tries to describe just how great his wife is. SOOO sweet! I am definitely going to play it at my wedding reception, whenever that'll be. ("A dream is a wish the heart makes...") While we're on the topic of favorites... Joey McIntyre is now on Boston Public. He and some other new guy are the new teachers on the block. While my deep fondness of Joey Mac stems from his New Kids days when I was an impressionable and totally enamoured pre-teen, I think that I'm more smitten by the other new teacher, Fischer (Jon Abrahams). He's absolutely adoreable (and supposed to be 22, so he's in my age range - yay!), but he needs to save that stupid wannabe beard off. I've always liked that show, but now I get another reason to watch. I'm heading over to Chicago this afternoon. Going to visit Rachel for the weekend. Perhaps I'll even meet her boyfriend - the (almost) doctor! Everything she did to me when Tim and I were still dating is SO coming back to haunt her. This isn't revenge or anything, because that implies ill will... this is just, um, justice. Yeaahh, sweet sweet justice. Of course, justice may not work because this girl has no shame or conscious... lol! Those are, of course, a couple of the reasons I like her so much! Maybe I'll go see Eminem's "8 Mile" this weekend while I'm there. Yeah, I've totally bought into the hype. Lol. Musicians have a history of attempting to act, and then failing miserably. I truly hope this doesn't happen to Mister Mathers. I used to really dislike his music, but this last cd is great. It's gotten past that saying sh1t purely to offend people... now it's just plain venting, but at least it has some substance and goes somewhere. Oh yeah, it has excellent beats too. I'm also addicted to his "Lose Yourself" song, which is actually part of the movie soundtrack. If the movie is even half as entertaining as that song, then my life will be good. Besides, it can't be that bad if it's directed by the same guy who did LA Confidential. He probably managed to get the "actor" in Eminem to shine, and I'd be willing to see that. |
