Pete and I had a fun-filled day yesterday. It started with dim sum, which never fails to make my stomach do a little jig of joy. We also watched Punch-Drunk Love. Strange movie. I think I liked it, but I'm still not sure about that one. Very strange indeed... *ponders* Anyways. After that I drove all the way out to the Best Buy on Columbia Pike, taking Rte. 7 (which was majorly trafficy - blah), to get the Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring special edition DVD.... only to find out that it wouldn't come out until today. (Yes, of course I'm going to buy that later). That 45-minute fruitless excursion was excused later when we went to IHOP, which is right next to the greatest soft serve on the planet: Frozen Dairy Bar. Oh yesh, my night ended in creamy goodness. *lol*

Chicago was nice. It was surprisingly warm. I'm glad that I didn't listen to Rachel and bring my peacoat. Rachel didn't take me to any bars this time because we got to spend time with her boyfriend (reminds me of Rick Moranis, but not as lovable) and a couple of other couples. That essentially left me the odd one out, literally, which made for playing boardgames (yes, we actually played boardgames on a Saturday night) slightly unbalanced. While I do enjoy a good boardgame once in a while, I was under the impression that they played these regularly... Um, is that all coupledom has to offer on a Saturday night? Oh god! But yeah, visiting Rachel was fun. I may have planted the seeds of breaking up in both her and her bf's mind... lol my bad.
Not.

Tonight is my first Wizards game of the season. Ooh! I'm so thrilled I got to see the end of their game against LA on Friday. Stackhouse made the willing basket in the last 2.9 seconds of the game! Hopefully todsay's game against the Sonics will be just as exciting.
