Gone With The Wind is 1037 pages long and was published in 1936.  It is Set in Victorian times and enchants us with some of the most pleasent parts of that era; the fashions, the parties, all while facing the harsh realities of the Civil War.  The splendor of the Victorian age in the south, though ravished by war, still placed importance on 'civic concience and sociol responsability' which is an important part to the book, by way of Scarlett's trying to be accepted, and Rhett's rebuking it.  The Book truly brings out the Best and Worst of this lovely era
