Rabid Wombat Tavern Archives

The Rabid Wombat Tavern was the name of a Yahoo! Clubs-based online game that ran from July 1999 to November 2001. Below are the posts of the GM and players, very lightly edited for spelling, grammar, and formatting. Like most games, players wandered in and out, so sometimes characters also drift away for little or no reason.

Major Characters, in order of appearance:

Thorn, a dryad sent to seek aid for her forest (NPC)
Torque Longwood, a centaur chieftainess recruited by the dryad (PC)
Kvelti, retired mercenary and owner/operator of the Rabid Wombat Tavern (NPC)
Cael, an exiled, reforming priest of Eho, the sun god of the southern lands (PC)
Gwenhywfar Silvanus, exiled silver dragon from Krynn (PC)
Kimura Toshiro, aging kensai of the Jade Empire and almost retired adventurer (PC)
Falling Leaf, an elven assassin dealing with dark powers and Cael's former lover (NPC)
Kyrial, a drow assassin (PC)
Gryppen, a wanderer from very far-off lands (PC)
Morgan, Kvelti's long-time companion and acquisitions expert (NPC)
Aaron, a northern runecaster and sailor (PC)
Jazel, a young half-elven sorceress hunted by elven assassins (PC)

Gremlock, Tamar, Brother Brygund, Straka, and Feo were only with us briefly (All PCs). All NPCs were scripted by myself; each player wrote posts only for his or her PC. As far as I know, each PC had a unique player.
