GREG: Welcome to Good Morning with Greg. This morning our guest is Staton, the first member of the Survivor Canada jury who was voted off at the end of last night's show. Hello, Staton. It's great to meet you.
STATON: Great to meet you too. It's good to finally be able to get a shower. LOL.
GREG: You didn't seem too surprised about being voted out. Did anyone actually tell you that you were going, or was that a feeling you got?
STATON: Well, I pretty much knew it was either me, Miriam or Janei, the original Cree because we were in minority. Then one day at camp I heard Michelle talking as I walked by telling Shane I was the next to go cuz Miriam won IC.
GREG: Do you think your 'spring break' also effected your ability to position yourself in the first days of the merge?
STATON: It may have had something to do with it but the Paleo alliance was just too bonded and wasn't really much we could do except win immunity.
GREG: Early in the game, Miriam, Aiden and yourself seemed to be building a little coalition. If you could go back to that, do you think you might have gone ahead and voted out Rob — and do you think that would have changed anything for Cree?
STATON: Well if I knew that Rob would have not have made merge I think I would have voted him out sooner. I thought we could really use him that's why I didn't want to vote him out. I doubt it would have changed things cuz we just had a very inactive tribe.
GREG: In your final words, you said that the three Cree weren't any kind of a threat. Were you telling the remaining players that the biggest threat to all of them was the much larger Paleo Pride alliance?
STATON: You make a very good point, I never really thought about that. I don't think it was a fact that we were a threat. It was a fact that we were the enemy as they saw it. But what can I say? I was outplayed, outwitted and outlasted.
GREG: Between Miriam and Janei, who do you think has a better chance of getting to finals — and who would you most like to see get there?
STATON: Well they both are great people and both have targets on their backs but I think Janei has a better chance of making it cuz she doesn't present as big of a threat as Miriam does. I would love to see either of them make it cuz I love them both.
GREG: Is there any advice you would like to give to future Survivor wannabes?
STATON: Play the game with pride, honesty and just have fun.
GREG: That's a great attitude. Thanks, Staton. It was a pleasure having you on the show.
