Fit For Life Nutritional Survey Project
On average, children only eat 2.5 servings of fruits and vegetables per day. Our non-scientific survey data bears this out. The Fit For Life Nutritional Survey project is intended to increase student awareness of the foods they eat, or rather the food they don't eat.
This simple project entails tracking your students food intake from each of the five food group for five consecutive days. Students track the foods they eat on the Survey Form.
Students then calculate their average intake for the week for each of the five food groups. Then, the class adds up their individual averages to calculate their class average.
The final step of the project is to go to the Data Entry Page page and enter in the class averages for each of the five food groups. Results will be posted for viewing on the Fit For Life Data Page. The data page contains a listing of results from past Fit For Life projects.
Thanks for participating in our Fit For Life Nutritional Survey Project.
