| On the right side we can see the length of CAT-5 cabling that each room will require. Each room will have two RJ-45 connectors in each face plate. Therefore the total amount of cabling required for the first floor is 952 feet. --10 face plates containing 2 RJ-45 connectors. On the second floor we will need a total of 986 feet of CAT-5 cabling. --9 face plates containing 2 RJ-45 connectors. On the third floor since it is a duplicate of the second floor will require the same amount. 986 feet of CAT-5 cabling and 9 face plates. --9 face [plates conating 2 RJ-45 connectors. Please keep in mind that this does not include the Fiber that will connect the first floor to the second and third floor switches. This and a ten percent cushion on the CAT-5 will be added on the next page to conclude this cabling project. |
