| In this project we are to calculate the wiring infrastructure of a 3 story building installing a Voice over IP system. Several servers and switches are needed and a race way is provided on each floor. The Race-Way is located in a crawl space that is 3 feet high on each floor.The following diagrams show the three floors, the offices and where the data and voice termination points are needed. In the following pages you will see the calculations used and the amount of money it would cost to implement this wiring. The wiring used is a CAT-5 with a fiber back bone. |
| As we can see the building is 33 feet high, 36 feet wide and 24 feet deep. The space between each floor is separated with a 3 foot crawl space for the race ways and wiring. BELOW we can see each floor and the orientation of the offices. The triangles represent each of the termination points that will require two (2) RJ-45 connections. |
| On the first floor there are a total of: 7 offices. 1 equipment room. 10 Termination Points. (2 RJ-45 connectors per each termination point.) |
