Indeed, there is even heated debate of the identity of the beast-men themselves and whether a true war was fought in the way we understand warfare today. Who were these beast-men? Where did they come from and where did they go?
The most recent archaeological data from various sites across Karameikos suggest answers to these questions. When taken in hand with current linguistic, cultural, and geographic studies, it has become the opinion of the scholars involved in this project that not only is the core story of the Song of Halav firmly based in truth, but additional depth and detail can be added to the history which may, in fact, shed some light on the current civil disturbances that plague the land.
