(Need to make separate page for this and link it from here since this is outside the scope of the Song of Halav study - those areas that do belong should probably be detailed in the "Ancient Evils and Modern Dangers" section)
"Queen Olivia, thank you for granting me this audience. In order for you to understand the death of your husband and the underlying cause of this civil war that is ripping the kingdom apart, it is necessary for you to learn the true history of the Traladaran people and the Immortal forces, baneful and beneficial, that steer the course of our nation. This history has been passed down to only a selected few of each generation - mostly to those of Traladaran descent. There have been a few non-Traladaran execptions. You are one of them, if you choose to hear of the Legend of the Eyes. It all began thousands of years ago in a distant land. It began with two lesser sons of an Emperor..."

(Rough notes)
"I must now beg for Your Highness's patience as I diverge briefly from the main history. However, these secondary events will prove to be directly, indeed the source, of current events of our time. I also extend my apologies for the lack of some detail as those individuals who have the greatest knowledge of this time period are the least likely to divulge those details. To the best of our knowledge then, here is what happened during the Dark Age of the people of Traldar."
(Insert Orcus narrative - BC 1200)
"We now come to a historical period that is the most well-known among the populace. Indeed, the Song of Halav preserves much of the oral tradition of our people. Unfortunately, like many oral traditions, much has been lost or changed to suit the pre-conceived notions of the tellers. It is, therefore, quite fortunate that the Order to which I belong originates from this era. Our very founder is none other than Zirchev, companion and friend to King Halav, himself."

"And thus it continued, the Seers watching over the land, sometimes with more, sometimes with less recognition. However, deep within the Dymrak and Radelebb Forests, dark events transpired that brought an obscure mage to the center of the battle. Too few know his name or the disaster he averted at the cost of his own life. We alone keep his memory alive - Elyas, the first non-Traladaran Seer."

(B7 - Rahasia)
(Unsure of which to put first in the timeline, Elyas or Trinkla. A case could be made for either)
"The death of Elyas and the loss of the Black Opal Eye was a tragic consequence of that last battle. The weakening of the remaining Eye's power would have been cause enough for sorrow, but events turned much more dire when it was learned that the Black Opal Eye had not been destroyed and was now in the possession of a traitor."
(Insert Trinkla narrative - AC 500?)
(Trinkla = Koriszegy?)
"Although the undead forces of Trinkla were defeated and Trinkla himself contained, the Black Opal Eye was never recovered. Many in our Order feared it had been destroyed for good, but the Seer never gave up hope. Years turned to decades and then to centuries. The power of the Seers waned and the Traladaran people huddled in scattered pockets across the landscape. Among the dwindling number of Watchers, rumors of the Black Opal Eye's location were abundant, but many turned out to be traps and it became too deadly to hunt out the remaining rumors with the limited members. And then, on a clear spring day, the Thyatian Imperial Army and Navy appeared in Mirror Bay and the Seer, Kerid Bey, saw an opportunity."

"Your Highness, I sincerely thank you for listening to me so far. However, I must respectfully say that what I am about to reveal may be difficult for you to hear. It concerns the events surrounding your husband, King Stefan. I am aware that you are intimately familiar with those events, but there is more to the story than any of us ever knew. I also admit that this information has only recently come to light. Even if any of us known the depths of this plot to ruin our nation, we would still have had an admittedly slim chance of stopping this tragedy. Only now do we see how all the threads of history weave the tapestry of the present."
