I-M The Ice Machine - on the ground floor of our block 14 of Hotel Santa Fe was the fabled Ice Machine, which provided some members of the party with more fun than inside the Disney themepark itself. Not only was the ice machine free, but it also contained interesting buttons and made a lot of noise, therefore stimulating our pre-schooler style intelligence. The ice it provided was stimulus for our exciting and interesting game invented on Sunday afternoon: Throw Icecubes Into The Rio Grande River And At The Path Infront Of Unsuspecting Tourists. It's A Small World - Eight minutes of the cutest song ever on loop tape, a boat on water, bright colours, singing dolls and leprechauns. It was therefore even more painful than Space Mountain but the very favourite ride of Emma, Sazzle, George and even Simon, the most masculine of the party. Karioke - Karioke was held at Hotel Santa Fe each night; despite finishing at 1am it was inisted that we should arrive at 9pm. Emma, Saz's and Simon's performances were actually suprisingly good, but only blighted by the fact that, after leaving the stage, Emma asked 'Was it OK? It wasn't very good was it? Was it OK? You didn't think it was any good did you?' at five second intervals for the remainder of the night. Key Card - Instead of having rooms keys for Santa Fe, one has rather swish key cards; which you place in the slot and wait until the light turns green before you can gain entry. It was only Simon who worked out the elusive Secret of the Key Card on the final night: it's not how quickly you put it in the slot which opens the door, it's how slowly you pull it out. Trust him. King Louie - Many different Disney characters were found on the holiday, ranging from boring old Goofy through Mickey, to King Louie, which Emma and Sazzle, clearly at home with, posed with. Saz and Edd also bumped into the three little pigs and an angry pirate guy whilst on their travels - but enough of the other members of the party!!! Ar hahrh hahrhah hahrhah hahhrh har. Thud. Kick - The rather good guitar band which played in Disney Village on the first night after we left the park. "I can't remember anything about what they played", George was later quoted, "I was too busy looking at the guitars". Mark in Spirit - Or more accurately known as spiritual Mark, but the plethora of other 'S' terms meant we mved this one up and made it a 'M'. Anyway with Mark being official God to Emma, George and Simon, and some kind of mini-saint to Edd and Sazzle, it meant that he was worshipped on a hourly basis throughout the holiday. Consequently, Emma began to believe that Mark was really on the holiday with us, and so took some 'hilarious' pictures of him, her invisible friend, exploring Disneyland Paris. Plus: Mark in Spirit also appeared in the bodies of others: for example, the topiary giraffes near It's A Small World. Midnight Walk - On the first night after arriving back at the hotel at 3am, Emma couldn't sleep and consequently went for a walk at 4. Forgetting to take the funky key card for the room, she was locked out and slept in the corridor for a a while. When she was eventually let in, she wandered around Edd and Simon's room for an hour dressed in a Disney pack-a-mac, pretending to be a Hattifattner, talking random, sleep deprived nonsense. Mirror - Whilst left to their own devices in the hotel rooms one afternoon, Emma and Sazzle predicatably went postal and, after arranging Pack-A-Macs and baguettes on beds to resemble Hattifattners, and taking pictures of themselves pretending to be Hattifattners, used butter and make up to write 'Buggage. Badgers. On a bus' on Edd and Simon's bathroom mirror. Mutual hate - See Breeze, Gayorgeena and Ree, Simon. Makeshift waterfall - In Frontierland on the second evening, Emma was a good way away from her favourite cooling waterfall in Adventureland. However, she made her own makeshift waterfall, using nothing but a Coca Cola cup filled with water, which she then tipped over herself to cool down, much to the confuddlement of the French tourists.
