Advice:

- Don't cheat.  Low carbing won't work nearly as well if you cheat -- even a small lapse can hurt you!
- Nothing with artificial sweeteners.
- Drink water until you float, then drink some more.  Adipose (fat) tissue contains lots of fat soluble toxins which need to be flushed away.  Plus, the biochemistry of fat loss requires water, without enough water your weight loss will be slower.
- Portions do count, even on induction.  Sometimes we eat large portions out of habit.  Never starve yourself, but be *sure* you're hungry before you eat and start with small portions.  Wait a few minutes after eating your first portion to see if you're really still hungry.  That being said, don't eat so little you send yourself into starvation mode!

Advice:  Do what feels right.  If something doesn' t work for you, don't do it.  For example, I don't believe in flooding myself with hundreds of ounces of water everyday.  And because I am still losing weight successfully, I drink the amount of water that I feel I need.  If you do cheat, don't beat yourself up about it.  Get over it, get back on track and move on!

Hobbies: I am an avid reader (non-fiction, fiction, mysteries, biographies...love them all), play tennis, cook, collect music, and like to snow ski.  I like to sing, but most people prefer that I don't.

Advice: I've learned that drinking water is essential...I think that water washes out your insides and you won't lose if you don't drink enough.  I also think it's important to supplement with a good multivitamin.  You won't keep the weight off if you don't exercise - don't fool yourself.

Advice: Keep the faith, even when it seems that you try and try and still don't lose.  Inches still count!  Anything worth doing is worth doing right!  If you think you have to cheat, you're not doing it right!  SO DON'T CHEAT!  Drink at least 80-100 oz of water a day.  DON'T CHEAT!  Try to see the humor in everything, and laugh until your face hurts - it burns calories.  Love yourself and lean on your friends at Sayonara CARBOnara - that's why we're here!  And DON'T CHEAT!

Advice:
1) Drink plenty of water...it does a body good!
2) Low carbing is an important element to this way of life, but so are the number of calories you eat.  Don't overeat - even if the foods are legal.
3) Use fitday - this tool will help you sharpen your instincts on what is good for you in the WOE.
4) Move the body...whether at work or at play...it is important to move it.  Start slow and build up your stamina.
5) Learn as much about your body and your new WOE.  Knowledge is power!
6) Lastly, remember that this is a process!
