I can see a picture in my mind
Of many things from my past
Dark and dreary
Scary and sad
Every depression thing I went through
The more I dwell on it
The darker it all becomes
Then I look in the center
The only hope I have
Is shown by a single light
It�s the light of Christ
Wanting to be delivered
I focus my all directly on the light
The light grows and becomes bright
It devours the darkness
Showing me all my pain
The pain I�m delivered from
All I have to do is focus
Focus all my attention on the light
Darkness will try to form
But this light is too strong
For when bad times come
God�s light will continue to shine
On my path towards Him
For I know in my heart
That everything is ok in the end

Being able to have a talent
Of keeping a beat
And playing an instrument
Not everyone is blessed
With such a talent
Practicing day after day
Getting ready for a performance
That will only last an hour
Spending so much time
Learning the music and how to play it
Working together to form music
Listening and staying in tune
Following the lead of the director
Keeps everyone on beat
The day has come
To show everyone
What we have been practicing for
Weeks and months of practice
Pay off within one hour
One hour of entertainment
Being in band
Takes practice and dedication
Always push yourself to do your best
The harder the music
But able to play
Will make you better
And one day it will pay off
