According sonogram I am 7 weeks and 1 day. Which would make my due date March 24, 2004.
We saw our baby's heart beat for the first time.

August 15,2003, Friday - Haven't been feeling well, throwing up and such. I am pregnant so I figured that's all it was. But then the fatigue got real bad, my sugar has been up and down, but BP seems to be fine. Anyway, my chest beginning to get tight and of course I got scared. So, i went to see Dr. I have a virus and I am dehydrated. Baby is doning fine and minus the virus so am I. 8 weeks and 2 days today.
August 20, 2003, Wednesday - Dr. took me off the Atenolol and put me on Methyldopa. This is the second time my heart meds have been changed sense I've been pregnant. The first time was to avoid complications during pregnancy. This time was because I began swelling, having trouble breathing, heart rate up, BP up, chest tightness, and horrible fatigue. Sense Congestive Heart Failure was a big problem when I was pregnant with Caleb I am really concerned it will become a problem with this baby as well.
September 10, 2003 - Dr. found sugar in my urine. Did not hear my baby's heartbeat yet. Baby is fine though, I am fine. Gained 3 lbs - yuck.
September 24, 2003 - Saw Dr. today. Back is hurting really bad and I've been cramping. Pulled a muscle in my back and tore my bladder. I will be fine, baby is fine. WE HEARD OUR BABY'S HEARTBEAT TODAY!! YEAY!! I lost 3 lbs - yeay!
Update: November 7, 2003 - Let's see....been to different doctors several times. OB check ups have been overall good. At one point sugar and protein where in my urine, but it cleared up. I gained a total of 8 pounds at 22 weeks, which is 5 1/2 months.
Baby is moving a lot these days, especially whenever I try to lay down. Baby is about 4.5 ounces larger than normal. Heart beat is strong and between 140 and 150.
Cardiologists visits and tests confirmed existing heart problems, but they are causing no problems thus far, and a new problem has been detected. I am having some problems with my heart, but all the tests have not come back in and the dr. is not completely sure what is causing them. They are following me closely, and will be dong more echo's to make sure I don't develop any further problems. The baby will most likely be delivered early at this point, either by enduced labor or c-section depending how much stress they think baby and I can handle. Basically I am to rest as much as possible and follow my diet, sugar, BP, and asthma closely.
