SAW's Gang |

These are some pictures of me and my hunting and fishing companions. These folks have been responsible for some of the best times of my life and I hope to enjoy many more with each of them. |

This is my pal, Mike. He goes by the handle "The Musky Madman" and he wears the name well. He's a diehard musky fisherman and an avid deer hunter. This fish got two VERY large treble hooks into him (one in each hand) before she was landed. You can find out more about the story at his site by following the link from my home page. |

A picture of me with my best musky so far. I came close to bigger fish a couple times this spring but came up short. The trip was a memorable one however as my best Bud came up with his first legal musky while we were up there (yes, it was bigger than mine of course!). Those pictures will be posted when I get them. |

This is my best friend and spirit brother, Scott. This is not the best buck he's ever taken but the look on his face says it all, every deer is a trophy. We've been best friends for around 35 years and have been hunting together for most of them. Can't imagine being in the north woods without him and I'm sure he feels the same (I never forget toilet paper, hehehe). |

Here's another photo of Scott framed by his father, Paul (on the right) and Harold. These guys have spent a lot of time (and patience) teaching us the ways of the woods and I don't think there are two better guys in the world. I can't even begin to thank them for the skills and ethics they have passed to me. |

This photo was taken on an incredible Saturday morning in the Wisconsin North woods many years ago, my first Wisconsin deer. It was noon and I couldn't wait to show Mike that I had two nice bucks down. He had to outdo me (as usual) by having three down himself! We DID pay some dues, those deer were all about a mile from the trucks. |

This nice group of bucks was taken in 1998 by a friend of mine and the guys she hunts with. All of these deer were taken after the first 2 days of the shotgun season. Sian's buck is the one indicated by the red arrow. Best bunch I have seen in a while! |

As promised, here's that picture of Scott with his first legal musky. We had a good day on the water and got some nice videotape of several fish in the afternoon. The action always seems to pick up on the last day of our trips up north. I figure we could make some decent money by tipping the local guides as to when we are scheduled to leave. |

This is my bow hunting partner, Steve dealing out some pain on the interactive range at a local archery shop. We hunt, fish and hang out together and I guarantee ya, you would have to look far and wide to find a better guy. His birthday falls on the deer/bow opener, what a great present! |

This is my second best girl, Alyx after a good day. She's two years old in this picture and every dog owner should be blessed with such an easy to train dog. She does have her faults but they disappear when she gets a noseful of bird scent. Addendum: She got loose and was struck and killed by a car on 2/13/2000. |

This is Mokah, Alyx's pup. She was running loose with her mom when Alyx was hit. We thought she was "gone" also but she came back 6 days later in rough shape. She's better now and in training to step into her Mom's shoes. (She's also getting spoiled rotten by a very loving family!) |

Initial run with the digital camera. This is the only part of my hunting "stuff" that my wife lets me keep upstairs. My best buck so far. |
