Chapter 9
The next morning, everyone met at the train station at 10. Claire clung to Paul and Sydney clung to George.
"I'm really going to miss you" George told Sydney.
"I'm going to miss you so much! It's going to be weird without you" she said sadly.
He handed her a letter.
"I couldn't sleep last night, so I wrote you that" George said as he handed it to her.
"I'll read it everytime I miss you. Which will be all the time" she said.
Meanwhile Paul and Claire were hugging.
"Here" he said as he handed her a folded up sheet of paper.
"What is it?" she asked as she opened it up.
"A song" he said.
"She was just 17, if you know what I mean" she read aloud.
A smile crept onto her face.
"I love it already" she said.
The announcer over the intercom annouced that their train was now boarding.
"Write" Sydney said.
"I will!" George said smiling sadly.
The guys kissed the girls and then reluctantly got onto the train. Stu, Astrid, Jessica, Claire and Sydney stood on the platform looking at the train as it drove off. Astrid and Stu turned to walk away. Jessica, Claire and Sydney didn't move.
"Coming?" Astrid asked them.
"You guys go on ahead" Jessica said.
"Call me later" Astrid said.
With that Stu and Astrid left.
"Oh god..." Sydney drifted off.
"Group hug" Claire said as she sniffed.
The girls all hugged each other.
"Wait!" Sydney said pushing away.
"What?" Claire said misty eyed.
"I didn't come all the way back in time to let them get away. Let's go to Liverpool" Sydney said confidently.
Claire and Jessica thought for a moment.
"We really have no reason to stay here. We have the money. Let's go!" Jessica said breaking the silence.
"Yeah! That's the spirit. But I think we need to wait a few days" Claire said.
"Yeah. I agree" Sydney said.
With that, they left the train station and walked all the way back home. For four more days, all they did was mope around the house.
"When can we go?" Jessica whined.
"I say we go tomorrow" Sydney said yawning.
"Good, we haven't been out of the house in 4 days. I have cabin fever" Claire said laughing.
"Let's pack" Sydney said jumping off of the couch.
They packed for a couple of hours. Then Sydney went over to the phone. She dialed a number.
"Hallo?" Astrid anwered.
"Hey Astrid" Sydney said.
"Hi Sydney! What's up?" she asked.
"I just wanted to call and tell you that the girls and I cracked. We're going to Liverpool tomorrow" Sydney said.
Astrid just laughed.
"Hey will you ask Stu how we'll be able to find the guys?" Sydney asked.
"I'll put him on the phone" Astrid said.
Stu got on the phone and told Sydney the directions to the guys houses. Sydney wrote them all down and then thanked Stu and hung the phone up.
"Okay I got directions to each of their houses" Sydney called out.
"Great!" Claire said.
They all brought their suitcases by the front door and ate a quick dinner and then went to sleep in an attempt to make the morning come quicker. They all woke up at 9 the next morning. They got dressed quickly and then rushed out of the house. They literally ran to the train station and boarded the train as soon as they got there. About 10 minutes later the train actually started moving and then they were on their way to Liverpool. They were silent almost the whole way there.
"So how are we going to meet up with the guys?" Sydney asked after the conductor annouced they would be to Liverpool in 10 minutes.
"Are we going to split up and just go to their houses? Or wait to just like meet them on the street?" Jessica asked.
"I think we should spilt up and just go to their houses" Claire said.
"Where are we gong to meet if they are not home?" Sydney asked.
"The Cavern" they all said in unison.
This made them giggle. They each had directions to their guys house as they stepped off of the train.
"Okay we'll meet at the cavern if anything happens. Seeing as we have no where to stay" Claire said.
"Hey wait! Stu gave me Cyn's address. We could go to her house and ask her if we could stay. I know it's a long shot, but it's worth a try" Sydney suggsted.
So they agreed to that. They asked someone for directions and then walked to Cyn's house. Jessica knocked on the door. A few seconds later, Cynthia opened up the door.
"Okay, we have to ask you something" Claire said.
"Let us introduce ourselves. I'm Sydney, that's Claire and that's Jessica. Claire is sorta dating Paul and I'm sorta dating George. We live in Hamburg and came to visit them and don't have anywhere to live" Sydney said
