Chapter 3
"We should go join Claire and Paul" he said.
"Yeah, I suppose" she said.
So they both started walking back. While they were doing that, Jessica was nervous and didn't know what to say.
"You just going to stand there?" John asked.
"That's what I was planning" she said blushing.
"You think you're so smart!" he said as he messed with his guitar.
"Actually I do" she said smirking.
"Let's go find Paulie" he said standing up.
Jessica followed him as he left the room. They walked across the street to the restaurant. Jessica and John were walking up as Sydney and George were walking up. Claire and Paul didn't notice any of them.
"Hey what's everybody doing tonight?" George asked.
This made Paul and Claire jump.
"Nothing, how about we have dinner" Jessica said which made Paul and Claire jump again.
"Sure where?" Sydney asked.
"Here?" Claire suggested.
"Sounds fun, but I have other plans" John said.
"What other plans? Stu's never around, Cyn's out of town, and Pete...well he's Pete" Paul said.
Everyone laughed except John.
"Oh come on, it'll be fun" Jessica urged.
"So what exactly are your 'other' plans?" Sydney asked.
"I have to um.. re-string my guitar" he said quickly.
"You don't even know how" Paul smirked.
"Yeah and we'll pay" Claire added.
"I don't need a bird to pay for my dinner" John said.
"Yes you do! What money do you have? None!" Paul said.
John was silent.
"Ok I'll go, but I won't have fun" he said sullenly.
"We have to change but we'll meet you at your place in an hour" Sydney suggested.
"Sure, we can eat and then will you guys come and watch our show?" Paul said.
"Fab" Sydney said.
"Well see you later babe" Paul said to Claire.
"Bye Paul" she said winking.
"Bye bye Georgie" Sydney said grinning.
"Bye Sydney" George said dreamily.
"Bye!" Jessica said.
John waved them off. The girls walked back in the direction to their house.
"I love Paul" Claire started "He is so hot and nice and hot and did I mention hot?"
"I know the feeling...Georgie" Sydney said sighing.
"I don't know, John is kinda rude" Jessica said "But I think he'll get over it."
"Yeah eventually, like when they release 'Please Please Me'" Sydney said laughing.
"No, Jess, I read in some book that he didn't like to open up to people. He'll get used to you" Claire said, then added in a whisper "and fall deeply in love with you!"
"I hope so" Jessica said smiling.
"Then you and him, will be like me and Paul" Claire joked.
"And me and George" Sydney cried.
"Tongiht tonight..Won't be just any night because tonight there will be no morning star" Claie sang off key.
"Oh my Lord" Jessica said shaking her head.
"Yo momma" Claire said quickly "Umm.. who has the key?"
"Yeah, I do. There is the house" Sydney said pointing.
They walked up to the house, unlocked the door and walked inside.
"Okay we have an hour and 15 minutes to get beautiful. But for Jessica it may take awhile" Claire said giggling.
"Ha ha funny" Jessica said sarcastically.
"GET DRESSED!" Sydney cried.
"Yes ma'am" Claire and Jessica said as they saluted and marched into their rooms.
"That's what I thought" Sydney said as she walked into her room.
"What are you guys wearing?" Jessica called.
"My blue and green dress" Claire said.
"I'm wearing black stuff. That's all I have in here" Sydney said laughing.
"What should I wear?" Jessica asked.
"DON'T CARE" Claire and Sydney said in unison.
They all laughed.
"Eww this dress looks like the one I wear in West Side Story" Jessica said.
"It's not that ugly is it?" Sydney asked.
"Sadly it is" Jessica said.
"Let's sing a song" Claire suggested.
"Which one?" Sydney asked.
"I dunno, somebody just start singing" Claire said.
They all thought for a moment.
"Baby you can drive my car, yeah I'm going to be a star" Sydney sang.
They all laughed but sang the song all the way through while getting dressed.
"Hey we only have 20 more minutes to get out there" Claire said as she glanced at her clock in her room.
"CRAP" Jessica yelled.
Sydney put on the finishing touches to her make up, grabbed her coat and purse and then walked out of her room.Claire finished getting ready grabbed her stuff and joined Sydney in the living room by the door.
"JESSICA!" they both cried.
"Sorry sorry" she said running out of her room.
"Before we go we should have a plan" Claire said.
"Let's make a couple of rules" Sydney said.
"No being mean to Jessica" Jessica said.
"For real. Okay don't get too drunk" Sydney said seriously.
"Don't get in trouble with anyone" Claire said.
"Sounds like enough" Jessica said as she opened the front door.
