Chapter 15
Jessica took a step away from Claire and Sydney and closed her eyes.
"Here goes nothing" Jessica said.
She squinted her eyes and relaxed.
"I wish I could back to the year 2000" she mouthed.
Sydney and Claire wathched as Jessica walked forward into nothing and dissappered.
"Holy..." Sydney said.
"She's really gone" Claire said breathlessly.
Just then someone knocked on the door.
"Oh my god! What are we going to say?" Claire asked.
Sydney ran over and opened the door. It was John.
"Where's Jessica?" John asked looking around the room.
"Perhaps you should sit down" Claire started.
They walked into the living room and John sat down. Sydney and Claire stood in front of them.
"Um..this is going to sound strange" Claire started.
"Amazingly strange" Sydney corrected.
"Alright really weird..um we're from the year 2000 and somehow we like went back in time and we totally love the Beatles" Claire said fastly.
The boys started to laugh.
"It's true. Ask us any question, the name of your first record, the name of your last record" Sydney said taken aback.
"They weren't the same one were they?" Paul asked concerned.
"No" Claire said giggling at his cuteness.
"But you're not going back anytime soon?" Paul asked.
"No" Claire said.
"Wow this is really strange" George said "But as long as you're not going back..."
"So what was the name of our first record?" Paul asked.
"Okay hold up. I don't wanna like change the future so you guys can ask us one question about the future and that's it!" Sydney said.
"How many records did we put out?" John asked.
"37 or more" Claire said without having to think.
The boys were astonished.
"Wow!" John said summing up all their feelings.
"Are you like totally freaked out?" Sydney asked.
"This is really weird but also kind of neat" George said.
"But get this we were born in 1983" Sydney said.
Claire threw her a quisqual glance.
"Yeah cause it's the year 2000 and we're 17!" Sydney said.
"Oh yeah!" Claire said.
"I'd be 40 then!!" George said gasping.
Everyone laughed hysterically.
"Okay okay! How did you get here?" Cyn asked.
"We just sorta wished it! I mean we love you guys! You're our favorite band! You rock!" Claire said.
"Claire shhh! You're going to say too much and then change future!" Sydney said elbowing Claire.
"Can we ask one more question?" Paul pleaded.
Claire and Sydney looked over at each other and shrugged.
"As long as it dosen't tell a lot about the future" Claire said.
"Hmmm...How famous do we become?" Paul asked.
"Let's just say that everyone has heard of you!" Sydney said smiling.
"Don't you guys need to be heading home?" Cyn asked as she glanced at the clock.
The guys groaned but stood up. Paul and George kissed Claire and Sydney good bye and left.
"Bye Johnny luv!" Sydney called after John.
He turned around and looked over at Sydney and Claire.
"Where are we going?" he asked with a cute grin.
"To the toppermost of the poppermost Johnny!" Claire and Sydney said in unison.
He chuckled and walked down the street. Sydney and Claire went back into the bedroom.
"Wow, they took it rather well don't you think?" Sydney said sitting on the bed.
"Yeah! I wanted to tell them about Sgt Peppers and Yoko and everything but I knew we shouldn't" Claire said.
Sydney grabbed a notepad and started scribbling furiously.
"What are you doing?" Claire asked.
Sydney just kept writing.
"You'll see soon enough" Sydney said.
Claire watched in curiosity as Sydney wrote page after page. After she had finished about 20 or so pages she stopped and folded all the pages together.
"Okay listen up" Sydney said scooting to the edge of the bed.
"Yeah?" Claire said looking.
"I know you're probably going to think I'm crazy but I'm going back. NOW wait! I'm going to go and tie up all the loose ends with my family, your family and whatever and then I will be back! I'm not sure how long it is going to take but I want you to do something for me." Sydney said.
"Anything what?" Claire asked after a moment.
"Don't ever let George forget me! Even when he meets Patti Boyd, don't let him forget me! I wrote this note to him. And..." Sydney said.
"And?" Claire urged.
"Tell him that I love him" Sydney said softly.
Claire jumped up and gave Sydney a huge hug.
