(AMENDMENT No. 16) LAW, 5747—1987 * | |||||||
Amendment of section 8. | 1. In section 8 of the Fallen Soldiers' Families (Pensions
and Rehabilitation) Law, 5720-1950(1) (hereinafter referred
to as "the principal Law").

Amendment of section 10. | 2. In section 10(g) of the principle Law, the closing passage, beginning with the words "so long as he is indigent", shall be replaced by the following closing passage: "so long as he has not remarried and his income is smaller than the pension paid to a bereaved parent under subsection (a), be entitled to a pension at the rate of the difference between his income and the pension under subsection (b). For this purpose, "income" means income from any source, including an old-age pension under the National Insurance Law (Consolidated Version), 5728-1968(2), and including periodic payments received as compensation for damage to health caused by Nazi persecution". | ||||||
Amendment of section 29A. | 3. In section 29A(b) of the principal Law, the following shall
be added at the end:

Transitional provision. | 4. The provisions of section 2 shall not apply to a person who was entitled to a pension under section 10(g) of the principal Law, as in force before the enactment of this Law. | ||||||
