So how does mysticism play into Christianity? Are the two incompatable? Is there a place for "the belief that direct knowledge of God, spiritual truth or ultimate reality, can be obtained through subjective experience (as intuition or insight)" in the Christian life? Does God only speak to us through the Bible? Here's an article that I stumbled upon about that topic. I'm interested in what you have to say about it--especially Doug.
