Get your name in Chineese!

(Can you tell that I have some free time on my hands today?)

That last post was the most unorganized piece of short prose I have ever written, but I'm going to leave it that way; I'm too tired to change it.

I've really been thinking a lot about that goofy post from 9/18. Do two wrongs make a right? Would blowing up Afghanistan really help end the terrorist attacks that stem more from anti-Americanism than from one individual?

It is fairly understandable that the Muslims in the middle east are pretty peeved at the US. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't justify killing thousands of innocents; I think that we just need to see things from where they are coming from. It seems that our only method of foreign policy in the middle east seems to invlovle patriot missles. What if we really tried a more "diplomatic" approach and made friends with the middle east?

I don't know if I'm really conveying what I'm trying to say. Muslims don't just hate the US because they "hate freedom." Who hates freedom? They hate America because we show total contempt for their culture and beliefs.

Once again, is twisting the arm of an Islamic nation really going to solve this problem? I think not. We need to stop, take a deep breath, and reevaluate what we are doing. A lot of good can come out of this situation, but so can a lot of bad.

The Verse of the Moment:

In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.

Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.
